About this experience
This experience is special because it offers something that most visitors never experience: the active climbing of the Sugar Bread. Instead of just visiting a viewpoint, you walk the Costão Trail, combining a short climbing track with a guided climbing in the rock, using professional safety equipment. Itinerary and highlights
Live a unique adventure in Rio de Janeiro combining trail, climbing and unforgettable views. The experience begins at Urca, with a trail of about 20/30 minutes until the beginning of the path. Then you face an escalating stretch of approximately 15m (grade 2 – easy to moderate), using safety equipment and accompanied by a professional Guide.
After climbing, we continue to the top of the Sugar Bread, passing through the Stone of the Philosopher. The experience ends with the downhill descent from Morro de Paño de Azulzar to Morro da Urca and a short trail back to the meeting point.

Meeting and pickup information
- Find your group and our guide at General Plaza Tibúrcio-Urca/Praia Vermelha (from the bike station of Itaú). There, all instructions will be provided and security equipment will be distributed. The activity starts on time at 8:00 or 14:00.
